FORT MILL, SC / ACCESS Newswire / August 5, 2026 / Sharonview Federal Credit Union, in partnership with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026-2027 scholarship program. These recipients are: Spencer Hirsch, Roman Fisher, Christian Roberts, Tyrra Ferguson, Brylee Greene, Robert Earls, Raygan Short, Abigail Canipe, Alyssa Milton, Jocelyn Sanchez, Ja-Imoni Haygood, Kathleen Griffin, Jillian Brand, Laylah Williams, and Eileen Stephens.
In total, Sharonview awarded over $38,000 in scholarships to 15 students across three programs, including 11 Sharonview CARES scholarships, two Carolinas Credit Union Foundation scholarships, and two Sharonview Team scholarships. The Sharonview Cares Scholarship rewards members who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership and commitment to their communities as they pursue higher education. The Sharonview Team Scholarship supports the children, stepchildren, and grandchildren of Sharonview employees and honors the importance of family and educational success within the organization. Both scholarships are presented in memory of longtime Sharonview Board members Paul Paliyenko and Phil Abrams, whose decades of service helped shape the credit union’s member-focused mission.
“Supporting students as they pursue higher education is one of the many ways we invest in the future of our communities,” said Sharonview President and CEO Herb White. “We are honored to celebrate this year’s scholarship recipients and look forward to seeing the accomplishments they will achieve in the classroom and beyond.”
Each year, Sharonview partners with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation to administer its scholarship program, providing an accessible application process for eligible students. Through this partnership, applicants who are not selected for a Sharonview scholarship are also considered for additional scholarship opportunities offered by the Foundation, helping extend educational support to additional deserving students.
The scholarship application for the 2027-28 academic year will open on October 1, 2026. Additional information, eligibility requirements, and application details are available on Sharonview’s website.
