Physician-led group expands its presence in Southeast Ohio, beginning emergency department management in Logan on November 1, 2026
LOGAN, OH / ACCESS Newswire / November 2, 2026 / Ohio Emergency Medicine Services (OEMS), a physician-led emergency medicine group that is part of the Emergency Care Partners (ECP) physician group network, announced today that it will manage emergency department services at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan, Ohio, effective November 1, 2026.
The new partnership marks continued growth for OEMS and brings its physician-led model of emergency care to Hocking Valley Community Hospital, a critical access hospital serving Logan, Hocking County, and the surrounding Hocking Hills region. Leading the day-to-day clinical operations will be Medical Director Harrison Zeitler, MD, and Associate Medical Director Sheldon Rose, MD.
“We’re proud to partner with Hocking Valley Community Hospital and to be part of the care this community counts on,” said Dr. David Yin, Regional Medical Director of Ohio Emergency Medicine Services. “Rural emergency departments are the front door to care for so many families, and our physicians take that responsibility seriously. Our team will bring consistent physician leadership, a strong focus on quality and patient experience, and close collaboration with the hospital’s medical staff and nursing teams. This growth reflects our commitment to keeping high-quality emergency care close to home for communities across Ohio.”
As part of the ECP network, OEMS maintains local physician leadership and clinical autonomy while drawing on ECP’s shared services infrastructure, including physician recruiting, compliance, scheduling, and operational reporting. That support allows OEMS physicians to focus on what matters most: delivering timely, high-quality care to every patient who comes through the emergency department doors.
“We are pleased to welcome the providers of the Ohio Emergency Medicine Services team to Hocking Valley Community Hospital,” said Dr. Michael Tornwall, HVCH Chief of Staff. “Their experience, commitment to quality care, and focus on patient-centered emergency medicine will be valuable assets to our hospital and those we serve. We look forward to working together to support our emergency department team and ensure patients continue to have access to emergency services in our community.”
Emergency services at Hocking Valley Community Hospital will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the transition.
