Erie Township, Ohio – October 13, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
The Clean Team has launched a home cleaning service for older adults, adding a scheduled option for households that need regular help maintaining a clean and orderly home. The October 2026 offering is aimed at older people and the family members who help arrange their household support.
Amber Gardner, owner of The Clean Team, founded the company in 2020 after moving to the Lake Erie area from Iowa with her three sons, Taylor, Brody, and Oakley. The business provides residential and commercial cleaning, vacation rental turnovers, tenant and post-construction cleaning, and specialized deep cleaning. The new service extends that residential work to older adults who want a consistent cleaning schedule rather than a one-time visit.
The service is structured around recurring visits. Technicians handle general cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and floors, following the same categories used in the company’s standard residential work. Visits can be set on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, depending on the household. The company describes the work as practical support for maintaining a home, not as personal care or medical assistance.
“Cleaning has always been about more than spotless homes. It’s about caring for people. This new service gives families peace of mind knowing someone they trust is regularly helping their loved ones maintain a safe, clean home,” said Amber Gardner, owner of The Clean Team.
Family members often arrange the service when an older adult remains at home but finds routine cleaning more difficult to manage alone. The Clean Team assigns trained technicians and returns on a set schedule so households know when a visit will occur. The company states that technicians are professionally trained and that the same attention to detail used on other residential jobs applies to these visits.
“Sometimes the biggest difference is simply having someone help care for your home,” continued Gardner.
The launch fits an existing pattern of service work at the company. The Clean Team is a partner of Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit that arranges residential cleaning for people undergoing cancer treatment, and Gardner also serves as a firefighter with Port Clinton Fire & Rescue. Those roles are separate from the older-adult cleaning service, but they reflect the same emphasis on showing up for households during periods when extra help is needed.
The new service covers the company’s existing territory, which includes the Lake Erie Islands area and communities from Toledo to Vermilion and south to Tiffin. Households in that area can request the service as a recurring clean or begin with a deeper initial visit before moving to a regular schedule. À la carte tasks already offered by the company, such as bathroom-only or floor-only cleaning, remain available when a full-home visit is not needed.
The company has not described the offering as a replacement for home health care, in-home aides, or other support services. It is limited to cleaning. Gardner has framed it as a way for families to know that a familiar company is handling routine upkeep on a predictable schedule.
Residential cleaning has been part of The Clean Team’s work since the company opened in 2020. Commercial cleaning covers settings such as offices, salons, daycares, and churches. Vacation and short-term rental cleaning focuses on turnover days, including linens and appliances. Tenant turnover and post-construction cleaning serve builders, real estate professionals, and landlords. Spring and deep cleaning, along with task-specific visits, round out the list. The older-adult service uses that residential base and applies it to a group of households that often need more regular help.
The company also maintains a no-additional-charge policy for homes with pets, which can matter in households where an older adult lives with an animal. Technicians are expected to work around the routines of the home rather than require the resident to leave during a visit.
As of October 2026, the service is available alongside the company’s other residential options. Scheduling follows the same estimate process used for other home cleaning. The Clean Team has presented the launch as an expansion of who its recurring residential work is organized to serve, rather than as a separate line of business with different staffing.
Gardner’s comments tie the service to the company’s stated approach since its founding: professional cleaning carried out with attention to the people living in the home. For older adults, that approach means a regular visit focused on kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and floors, arranged so family members know the work is being done on a set schedule.
