SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AI/R, a technology company specialized in Agentic AI, announces the launch of TwinForge, a platform that converts the technical and industry expertise of professionals into Digital Twins specialized by role across the software development lifecycle. The technology reaches clients as a Forge Squad: teams made up of human engineers, Digital Twins and a Forge FDE, AI/R’s AI Forward Deployed Engineer who orchestrates the work between them.
“Today, the rarest expertise on the market is no longer that of the person who writes code—it’s that of the person who understands both code and an industry at the same time. Coding assistants speed up code writing, but they don’t carry the rules, standards and constraints of a specific sector. TwinForge preserves that expertise in a platform and makes it possible to apply it at scale, with a human in charge and under the same governance the organization already uses for its other AI initiatives,” says Alisson Aguiar, CTO of Business Apps at AI/R.
In a recent project, after adopting the platform, one squad went from 68 to 150 pull requests per week within a month. In six weeks, Digital Twins already accounted for 72% of the approved volume in the workflow analyzed.
How a Digital Twin is forged and directed
TwinForge is designed to expand the capacity of engineering teams with specialized agents that are supervised and integrated into the processes already in place. The platform combines automation, human validation and governance so companies can adopt AI in software development without giving up control, security or traceability.
Each Digital Twin reproduces the technical repertoire and industry knowledge associated with a specific role, such as architecture, quality, backend engineering and even engineering for specific platforms like Salesforce, Adobe and Shopify. It is built with the participation of the professionals it is modeled on and goes through human validation before starting work in the development workflows.
Digital Twins are orchestrated by Forge FDEs, AI/R’s AI Forward Deployed Engineers who join the client’s team. These professionals direct the work: repetitive, well-defined tasks go to the Twins, while ambiguous decisions and judgment calls stay with the human engineers. The Twins open pull requests, but the decision to merge remains subject to review by the engineer responsible. With each cycle, based on what is approved and what is rejected, the Twins take on a larger share of the workflow.
That group—human engineers, Digital Twins and a Forge FDE in charge—is the Forge Squad, the format in which TwinForge already operates inside client development teams.
An extension of the AI/Cockpit ecosystem
TwinForge was built on top of AI/Cockpit—AI/R’s software development platform—drawing on its technology foundation, integration capabilities and layers of governance, security and agent management. In practice, Digital Twins operate within a mature enterprise infrastructure, which allows organizations to combine the capabilities already available in AI/Cockpit with digital specialists designed to expand the scale, consistency and delivery capacity of their teams.
“We built the control, cost and governance layers first because, without them, AI adoption at enterprise scale doesn’t hold up. TwinForge is the next step: with the foundation in place, we now deliver execution capability on top of it,” says Cleyton Ferreira, Director of Technology and Products at AI/R.
TwinForge is available for enterprise projects, with implementation led by AI/R on top of the client’s existing development structure.
