CALIFORNIA CITY, CA / ACCESS Newswire / August 7, 2026 / Kingbull further solidifies its dedication to rider safety by expanding its lineup of UL-certified electric bicycles. All relevant certification credentials are publicly verifiable via UL’s official Product iQ® database, ensuring full transparency for consumers and industry partners.

Driven by strong market demand, the U.S. e-bike industry continues to expand rapidly. Beyond core considerations such as performance, range, and riding comfort, safety has become a key benchmark of product competitiveness. As lithium-ion battery-powered mobility solutions become more widely adopted, the industry is also placing greater emphasis on electrical safety, battery stability, and long-term product durability.
UL 2849 and UL 2271 are widely recognized safety standards within the e-bike industry. UL 2849 evaluates the complete electrical system of an e-bike, including the motor, battery pack, charger, and control unit, while UL 2271 focuses specifically on the safety performance of lithium-ion battery systems. Compared with testing individual components separately, system-level UL certification provides more comprehensive validation of an e-bike’s overall electrical safety.
To date, 10 Kingbull e-bike models have obtained UL certification, while the Hunter 2.0 is currently undergoing the certification process. Following the Ranger’s earlier independent SGS certification, the Hunter 2.0S has now become the latest Kingbull model to receive SGS certification.
A breakdown of the current certification status is shown below:
